As part of its youth development programme, the Council ensures that it accepts as many National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members and students on Industrial attachment training as it can accommodate.

The Director in the newly established department (Admin and Human Resources) in the Raw Materials Research and Development Council, RMRDC, Mr. Chris Okpalefe had offered a thanksgiving to God for his promotion as a Director.

The Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), inaugurated a local organizing/stakeholder committee to work towards the 1st National Moringa Oleifera summit.

There was something boundless, enlivening and wholesome about the feelings expressed by staff of the council recently when the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) Engr,(Prof) Azikiwe Peter Onwualu clocked 51 years.


The Raw Materials Research and Development Council, RMRDC, Ogun State Coordinating office on 10th March, 2010, hosted a group of senior students from Mayflower Private School, Ikenna who paid an educational visit to the Council.

Raw Materials Research and Development Council, in keeping with its mandate to promote the development and utilization of the Nations raw materials, has proposed plans to evolve raw materials clusters in Rivers State.



In an effort to ensure the emergence of a vibrant mushroom development cluster industry in Nigeria, the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) has demonstrated its commitment in training SMES involved in the production and development of mushroom in the country.

The Lagos State Government has applauded the effort of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) in building the capacity of residents of Lagos State in the areas of fish farming and processing.
