The Special Assistant to Mr. President on strategy and National Coordinator SERVICOM, Mr. Ad’Obe Obe in his address bemoaned the attitude of most public offices towards effective customer oriented service and stated that with the introduction of SERVICOM which is the acronym for Service compact with all Nigerians, it is expected that responsibility to clients and not schedule of duties is paramount towards a better public service culture and respect for Customers.

In his welcome address the Director-General /CEO of the Council, Engineer (Professor) Azikiwe Peter Onwualu extolled the virtues of rendering effective public service to all Nigerians and promised to monitor and practice those tenets of service delivery by motivating staff and at the same time challenging them to render better and effective service,

The Honourable Minister of Science and Technology, Professor Turner Isoun who was represented at the occasion by the Director of Personnel Management, Chief Ibe Ukoha in his goodwill message tasked the RMRDC to always set and maintain high standards of performance for which it has been known for and cautioned against slipping back to the much hated practice of favourtism or unfair practices in management which are anathema to service delivery. He promised the cooperation of the Ministry towards assisting the Council in achieving its mandates,

The event was rounded up with a solemn activity conducted by the Special Guest of Honour and National Coordinator SERVICOM who called on the seven (7) officers led by the Council’s Nodal officer, Mr. J.P Wiltshire to act as change agents of the Council and also ensure that every officer in the Council imbibes the principles of SERVICOM for the progress of our Motherland.
