INVESTMENT
PROMOTION
- INTEGRATED LIVESTOCK/POULTRY PROJECT, BISICHI, JOS
The Council's collaboration with National Veterinary Research
Institute (NVRI), Von, in the area of research in vaccine production
culminated in the establishmentof this project, with a private
investor, Hamtul Investment.
- SERICULTURE PROJECT, ADO-EKITI, EKITI STATE
Major achievement recorded with the sericulture project
included:
-Establishment of nuclear plots for mulberry multiplication with a
total of over 4 hectares planted by the end of the rainy season.
-About 500 farmers and some associations from Ekiti and surrounding
states have registered to be supplied with eggs and cocoons as a
result of the awareness created by the project.
- FRUIT JUICE PROCESSING PLANT
The project is being sponsored by Hikima Resources
Industries Limited, a company jointly owned by the Council and a
private sector. The plant with a capacity of 1,000 litres per day
has been test run and effort being made to obtain National Agency
for Food and Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC) Certification
prior to commercial production
