DATA COMMUNICATION AND NETWORKING (VSAT INSTALLATION / WIDE AREA NETWORK WAN)

This project was expanded to cover other locations under the Public Service Network (PSnet). The VSAT project referred to RMRDCnet was harmonized with the Public Service Network (PSnet) to form the National Data Centre for Science and Technology (NADCEST).The project is to house all scientific and technological information in Nigeria with major focus on R&D.  It is envisaged that the linkage would remove duplication and repetition of research activities by different organizations as well as make available information on research findings to relevant organizations. 

This project fits into the Federal Government’s National Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (NEEDS).
