Dr. Daniel Babasehinde Ayo
Research Director 		Dr. Ayo was born on 3rd May, 1956 and holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) and Ph.D. degrees both in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos, Lagos State.

He is a seasoned administrator, researcher and consultant in Information Technology and Industrial Project Management. He has made remarkable contributions to knowledge, especially in the areas of Process Equipment and Process Plant Design and Development as well as Software Design, Development and Applications.

Some of his contributions to research and development include the Design and Construction of Equipment for the Estimation of Sulphur Content of Petroleum Fractions; Design and Construction of a Pulse Micro-Catalytic Reactor System; Development of X-LIB, a Library Management Software; and Development of Danny’s Organizer, a software package designed for top-level Managers. He served first as the Project Manager and later as Project Director of the UNDP-supported National Raw Materials Information System.

He is a member of several national and international professional bodies amongst which are: Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, Nigerian Society of Engineers, Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers, American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria and Nigerian Institute of Management.

Dr. Ayo joined RMRDC in 1989.
