Engr. (Prof.) Azikiwe Peter Onwualu, FAS Director-General/Chief Executive Officer |
Engr. Prof. Azikiwe Peter Onwualu was born on 27th April, 1959 and
hails from Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering (B.Eng.)
with First Class Honours (1982) and an M.Eng. Degree in
Agricultural Engineering (1986) from University of Nigeria,
Nsukka (UNN). He also holds a Ph.D from Technical University of
Nova Scotia, Halifax, Canada [now Dalhousie University] (1991). Prof. Onwualu was Head of Department of Agricultural Engineering, UNN; Director, Engineering Infrastructure, National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) before joining the Council as Director-General/Chief Executive Officer in 2005. He is a specialist in Agricultural Power, Machinery and Processing. He has to his credit 120 scientific publications including 6 books. He is a Fellow of Nigeria Society of Engineers, Academy of Engineering and Nigeria Academy of Science. |
