PAULINE TALLEN, TOURS RMRDC PROJECTS IN SOUTH- EAST, IDENTIFIES NEW AREAS OF COOPERATION
                                                                                       

The Chairman of the Governing Board of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Chief (Mrs.) Paulin Tallen led the Board on a facts- finding tour of Council’s projects and offices in the South Eastern part of the country recently. 

One of the highlights of the tour was a courtesy call on the Enugu State ExecutiveGovernor, Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani at the State Government House, during which Chief (Mrs.) Tallen donated five computer systems to the state in support of the activities of the Ministry of Science and Technology in the state.

At Enugu and in Ebonyi, Abia and Imo states, the officials of the states highlighted the raw materials available and the potentials and solicited the support of RMRDC in the development of the resources.  The major raw materials in the South East include coal, crude oil, salt, granite, cashew, rice, palm produce, maize, cassava, etc.

The Board Chairman promised that the Council would collaborate with state governments in the zone to ensure that viable raw materials were developed for the growth and consequently guaranteeing the well-being of the citizens of the states

The Chairman’s entourage’s entourage also visited Scentomix Fertilizer Blending Plant and the Coal Carbonization Plant located at the Project Development Institute (PRODA).

The Board also visited the Councils Zonal and Liaison offices in the zone where it encouraged members of staff to live up to the expectations of worthy ambassadors of the Council by upholding the principals and values of hard work and patriotism.
