Journal of Raw Materials Research promotes research and development on local raw materials for industrial utilisation. The journal covers the fields of agriculture, minerals, new and advanced materials, petrochemicals and engineering. Greater emphasis shall be laid on applied research findings that have the potential application to the improvement of industrial processes particularly those that relate to:

a)  Processing of existing mineral and agricultural raw materials, new and advanced materials and petrochemicals into economically viable products.

b)  Substituting identified major or minor industrial inputs with products of equivalent value.

c)  Development of process technology or fabrication of machines and other components particularly through the adoption of local technology.

d)  Any other research findings that are considered relevant to the objectives of the journal by the editorial board.

Note to Contributors of Articles

The journal shall consider original and full technical papers, reviews and short communications in the field of raw materials research and development. Intending authors/contributors who wish to publish in the journal are requested to submit full papers/reviews or short communications. Submission of manuscript implies that the work described has not been submitted elsewhere for publication and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere without the consent of the Editor and publisher. Figures should be presented in separate tracing papers for ease of reproduction.  Abstract not exceeding 250 words stating the main findings as briefly as possible and suitable for publication in abstracting publications should accompany article.

Papers should be structured as follows:

a. Abstract   b. Introduction c. Materials and Methods   d.  Results   e.  Discussion
f. Acknowledgement (if any)  g. References

The reference list should be at the end of the paper according to citation in the text. In listing references, authors are expected to use the standard format for journals, books and monographs.  The following examples illustrate the format for reference:
