ISRAELI AGRONOMIST TO DELIVER PAPER AT RMRDC SEMINAR

As part of strategies to build capacity in the rural populace for resources and entrepreneurial skills acquisition, development and management the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), in conjunction with Dipton Investment and Trade Ltd (DILT) is organizing a two-day training workshop to commence from 27th – 28th August, 2007, at the Headquarters of RMRDC.

The Workshop which is coming at the heels of a just concluded Agribusiness forum titled “Chain and Innovation in the Global Food System” held at the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) Headquarters, Rome, Italy recently, will among other things consider Innovative entrepreneur in subsistence economy, global perspectives in rural and agricultural financing, public-private partnership (PPP) in agriculture, and capacity building in agri-business.

Dr. Illan Bijaoin, world renowned expert and Director of International Business and Innovation Institute, Ashkelon, Israel, will also be expected to serve as major speaker at the seminar which has been designed by the organizers to bring the decisions at the last conference in Rome to bear on the current economic policy of the present administration as it relates to poverty alleviation, employment generation, wealth creation, transfer of skills capacity building and other trickle down benefits.

The forum, titled "Innovation Strategy in Agribusiness," will be open to Policy makers, researchers, prospective investors, industrialists and other relevant stakeholders from bothe the public and private sectors of the economy.
