Investment Information Status and Prospects:

Ebonyi: It is made up of weathered products of Shale of Asu River Group and intrusive
Abia: Most deposit of the mineral were reported. Detailed and further investigation required.
Imo: Mining activities are on in some of the locations.
Anambra: Need for more investigation.
Kebbi: Not available

R&D Activities:

The RMRDC in collaboration with some private investors has established a multi purpose mineral grinding plant at Owerri, Imo- State, for the processing of soft like kaolin, diatomite and bentonitic clays.
