Federal College of Chemical and Leather Technology established a tannery and leather products,  Pilot project in Zaria for the training of local tanners/entrepreneurs on modern method and chemicals to produce high quality leather product. Traditionally Nigeria exports raw Hides & Skin  with little or no value addition.
